You love words and anything that’s got to do with it. you invent words. Sometimes the words you want to say comes out better than what you wanted to say. You spitball cliches and add your twist on them. If you say the same word out loud a lot of times it sounds weird to you. You think certain words are funny and you laugh at word games without thinking if anyone cares. You really believe that the pen is mightier than the sword, but you prefer a pencil. You feel the right words can change the world.
You can pool out your gun-blazing-fire-scorching sentences without hesitation. You know words that don’ts show up in the dictionary. You can summarize a whole book in two words. You can write funny, dramatic, crazy, weird texts on the fly. You don’t judge what you write. You watch movies, tv shows, read blogs, comments, and you always looking for the write line or the double space (god, I can’t stand that). You can sometimes predict a script. You can watch an episode of a show and guess the ending of the series.
You fall in love with the things you write and can fall in love with someone because of the way they write. You see the world as a one-liner and can’t wait to get yours out in the open. You can write anywhere. Out in the street, in a bar, at the library, or even on the toilet. Wherever, whatever, whenever is not a question for you. You interrogate words, trying to understand the origins and whether they have an altered meaning.
You wake up in the middle of the night with a great idea for an ad, but it’s not your client, so you’re actually thinking of quitting the current workplace to find the agency that handles the client of which you have the best idea ever. You can appreciate words people speak to you. you take words seriously because they are the meaning behind actions. You love spider-man (ok, this one is just me maybe). It doesn’t matter which one of these you are, all of them or none of them, at the end of the day if you are a person who stands behind his words, then take my word for it – you might just be a Copywriter.
